Cardi B Fights Against Blogger Tasha K’s Attempt To Have $3.8M Judgement Thrown Out
Cardi B and her legal team are fighting against Tasha K’s appeal to have a $3.8 million judgment thrown out.
According to RadarOnline, in newly filed court documents, Cardi B accused Tasha K of being in the blogging business to “spread salacious rumors about celebrities for profit.” The Grammy Award winner reportedly displayed evidence of Tasha K targeting her since 2018. Cardi B argued that the YouTuber knew spreading false information would increase her ratings.

The 30-year-old’s lawyer wrote:
“They admitted that their targeted attacks were intended to irritate her and to make people laugh at her and to cause her embarrassment and humiliation.”
“Vulgar,” “tasteless,” and “rude” were words used to describe Tasha’s actions in the motion. The rapper said the “malicious campaign” was put together by greed and spite. It was argued that Tasha K’s, born Latasha Kebe, remarks were so degrading that Cardi B responding with outrage shouldn’t come as a shock. The “Be Careful” artist said the jury made the right decision and wants the judgment to remain intact.

As previously reported, earlier this year, Cardi, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, won an almost $4 million judgment against Tasha K who was held liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. As part of her repercussions, the YouTuber was demanded to delete the defamatory videos she posted online about the Bronx native.
After Cardi’s victory, Tasha K filed an appeal of the judgment claiming it was improper.
To date, Tasha K has not paid Cardi B the amount owned.
