Uncle Luke Refutes Fat Joe’s Claims About Discovering Trick Daddy & Pitbull, Producer Takes Credit For Signing The Rappers: Maybe I’m Missing Something Here, I Have The Receipts
Uncle Luke isn’t sure why Fat Joe took the credit for artists he allegedly discovered.
In a tell-all conversation a few months back with the “My Expert Opinion” podcast, Fat Joe bragged about his reputation of signing some of the hottest artists in hip-hop. The founder of the “Terror Squad” label is known for signing rap moguls such as the late Big Pun, Remy Ma, DJ Khaled, and more.

During his chat with the “My Expert Opinion” crew, Fat Joe added to his resume and claimed he’s also responsible for Pitbull and Trick Daddy going mainstream. He said,
“Pitbull – I took his demo and got him signed, Fat Joe!”
The 52-year-old continued:
“Six months later he was rich. Pitbull – I took his demo and got him signed, Fat Joe.”
The rapper born, Joseph Antonio Cartagena, then shared:
“Trick Daddy, I took his sh*t and got him signed.”
When someone asked if he also helped the Fugees with their career, he replied,
“I ain’t put the Fugees on but I’m telling you about facts.”

On Friday (Dec. 9) Uncle Luke caught wind of the clip and took to Instagram to politely disagree with Fat Joe’s candid remarks about discovering Trick Daddy and Pitbull. Uncle Luke, born Luther Roderick Campbell, wrote:
“I love Joe but i find this very interesting because i discovered @trickdaddydollars he did his first song with me as soon as he got of the lock up and by he stayed with me.”

“Maybe I’m missing something here I do have the receipts. By the way because you don’t see me all in the videos at the partys @djkhaled i found him on underground radio mix 96 brought him to main stream, radio @99jamzmiami The Luke Show.”
