In a post shared to her instagram story, Martin wrote:
“If you missed my live, long story short I had surgery for my large ovarian cyst that gave me constant pain for 4+ years. I really don’t remember any of this sh*t cause of the anesthesia lol But I will say, I am very grateful to have family and educators by my side in support of this process.”

She continued:
“The only reason I’m sharing is so I can hopefully spread awareness and share my experience to the young women out there that may be going through the same thing or have difficult menstrual cycles. You are never alone. Listen to your body. It always shows you signs. Health is wealth”

The film and TV star also shared a brief video clip of doctors rolling her in to have the procedure. It’s a great thing Marsai carved out time to care for her health, as she has been booked and busy! Martin appeared as a model in Rihanna’s latest Savage X Fenty fashion show installment, which premiered November 4th on Amazon Prime.

Additionally, the decorated actress has also been on a press tour for the recently released Nickelodeon film “Fantasy Football”, alongside famed R&B singer Kelly Rowland and “Power” star Omari Hardwick. The film, about a NFL players daughter who gains the ability to control his football moves during live games – via video controller, is now streaming on Paramount Plus.
