Bad Bunny Defends Throwing Fan’s Phone Into The Water After They Tried To Record A Video w/ Him, Says Their Actions Reflected A ‘Lack Of Respect’

Bad Bunny is under fire for tossing a fan’s phone out of his face.

Recently Bad Bunny was spotted in the Dominican Republic, walking with what appeared to be his entourage, when a female fan approached him excited to get their encounter on video. After the unnamed fan shoved their phone in Bad Bunny’s face, the “La Santa” artist wasted no time in setting a boundary.

Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, grabbed the person’s phone and tossed it in the opposite direction,   seemingly into a body of water, leaving the fan in shock.

Some of the musician’s fans disagreed with the way he chose to communicate with the fan while others justified his actions, noting “celebrities aren’t your friends.”

In a tweet, the 28-year-old responded to the viral video of him chucking the fan’s phone into the water for allegedly violating his personal space.

Explaining the motive behind his actions, on Monday (Jan 2), Bad Bunny wrote:

“The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect. Those who come to put a phone bastard in my face I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect and I will treat it likewise. #IDONTGIVEAD*MN”
