Infamous Fake Teen Doctor, Now 25, Reportedly Sentenced To Prison For New Scam
Malachi Love-Robinson, a serial scammer who gained national attention as a teenager after impersonating a doctor is now back behind bars.
According to reports, Malachi Love-Robinson, 25, pleaded guilty to stealing more than $10,000 from his employer. Last week, he received a sentence of over two years and four months after pleading guilty in Palm Beach County, Florida, to grand theft and organized scheme to defraud.
Reportedly, Malachi Love-Robinson was working as a salesperson for a company in 2020 that connects shippers with trucking companies. Instead of having customers make payments to the company, he instructed them to send payments to his personal account. In 2021, he was arrested in Palm Beach County on charges of fraud and grand theft.
As you may recall, Love-Robinson made headlines when he pretended to be a doctor in 2016 at the age of 18, identifying himself as “Dr. Love.” The young man treated patients in a scam that included a fake diploma and name badge. He even opened a clinic. He also walked in during a gynecological exam, according to reports. He reportedly stole $30,000 from a patient in her 80s during house calls and an additional $20,000 from a doctor. He was arrested after he examined and prescribed treatment to an undercover police officer who was impersonating a patient.
Later that year, while out on bail, Love-Robinson was reportedly arrested once again in Virginia after he tried to buy a Jaguar automobile with a stolen credit card.
Love-Robinson pleaded guilty in 2018 to practicing medicine without a license, fraud, and grand theft. He served 20 months of a 3.5-year sentence at a maximum security prison and was released in September 2019.
