Update: DJ Mustard Agrees To Pay Ex-Wife $19k A Month In Child Support After She Requested $80k
Update: (Feb. 1, 2023): DJ Mustard and his ex-wife Chanel Thierry are working to settle their child support battle privately.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, the former love birds have agreed to postpone the hearing on Chanel’s motion for child support. As you may recall, she initially asked for $82,628 a month in child support for all three of their minor children. In addition, Chanel said per their pre-marital agreement, the famed record producer should pay her another $35k per month in spousal support.
However, they are now working to settle their differences. Reportedly, DJ Mustard and Chanel have agreed to participate in a Voluntary Settlement Conference with the court. The publication also noted DJ Mustard is in the process of collecting the requested financial documents to turn over to Chanel.
In the meantime, he has agreed to pay his ex $18,342 per month in temporary support starting this month. They’ve also agreed to share joint legal custody and joint physical custody of their children. They’ve reportedly settled on a week on/week off schedule, “with all custodial exchanges to take place after school or camp.”
Original story: (Jan. 20, 2023): DJ Mustard’s ex-wife Chanel Thierry is requesting an order by a California judge on issues of child custody, child support, spousal support, attorney’s fees, and even an order regarding their communication.
Reportedly, Chanel Thierry is asking for joint physical and joint legal custody of their three minor children. However, if they come to a standstill over “decisions regarding the health and education” of the kids, then she wants the final say because it has become
“increasingly difficult to co-parent with Mustard as he does not communicate or answer her text messages.”
Chanel stated she and DJ Mustard had a nanny throughout their relationship and their nanny would switch off weeks and assist them with the children. She also claimed they have used their nanny to help communicate about their children, however, the nanny now acts as Mustard’s “house manager.”
To rectify the issue, Chanel is requesting an order requiring them to use “Our Family Wizard” (an online court communication platform for co-parenting) to communicate about the children, and for an order that “the family Escalade go back and forth between households when exchanging the minor children.”

Chanel is also requesting $82,628 a month in child support for all three minor children pending a forensic evaluation reviewing Mustard’s income for 2022.
As previously reported, last year DJ Mustard and Chanel Thierry called it quits after 12 years together. The pair got engaged in October 2018 and married in October 2020. They share three children together.
Back in July, Chanel took to social media to speak out following DJ Mustard’s filing for a dissolution of marriage. She shared:
“Thank you for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Anyone that followed me or knows me personally knows my family means the world to me. I’ve dedicate [sp] 12 loyal years and it is more then [sp] heartbreaking to see things end.”

DJ Mustard reportedly asked the court to declare him and his wife legally single as the divorce moves forward. The former couple will return to court on February 1.
