Gucci Mane Wanted To Join BMF But Was Allegedly Denied By Big Meech
Rapper Gucci Mane once wanted to be a part of the Black Mafia Family but was turned down by the crew’s co-founder, Big Meech.
During a new interview, former BMF rapper Bleu DaVinci, 44, explained how he met Gucci Mane, 43. According to Bleu DaVinci, the “So Icy” rapper wanted to join BMF, but Big Meech, 54, decided against it given the rapper’s reputation as a known robber.

At the time, Big Meech didn’t want any loose cannons in his collective, and he felt Gucci Mane could be one given the stories about him sticking people up on the regular, according to reports. Bleu DaVinci said,
“Gucci’s a street n*gga. He just be outside all the time and sh*t. Gucci was like a part-time jack boy, part-time dope dealer, part-time rapper. Gucci was a slash man. I knew Gucci before I knew Jeezy.”

He continued,
“Gucci used to always be in the club, on the wall looking at n*ggas with a drink in his hand with his hat down, trying to get him a victim. Meech knew him.”
The Los Angeles native elaborated and said,
“He was cool, and he used to try to get down with the mob, but Meech was telling n*ggas like, ‘Nah man, this n*gga be out here robbing n*ggas and sh*t. We can’t have no n*ggas that’s known robbers.’”
He added,
“It wasn’t like he was some robber. N*ggas knew he would get down on a n*gga type shit. So we kinda wasn’t doing that at the time. He always just been a friendly and always been the homie.”
As you may know, “BMF” is a fictional crime drama series executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson that was inspired by the drug and money laundering conducted by the real Black Mafia Family. Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory is played by his biological son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory is played by actor Da’Vinchi.

The series is currently on its second season and recently received a renewal for a third. As previously reported, musical artists Ne-Yo and 2 Chainz will be joining the Starz series for season three of “BMF.”

The “Miss Independent” singer (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) will take on the role of “Rodney “Greeny” Green, a local Atlanta player with confidence and an enterprising spirit — and he’s all about getting to the money.
2 Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) will play “Stacks,” an Atlanta native and distributor whose presence and wisdom command respect wherever he goes. Stacks, who reportedly adheres to the street code, confronts Meech’s leadership style and is fiercely loyal and committed to supporting his family at all costs.
