Honey Boo Boo’s Boyfriend Arrested For DUI While She Was In The Car w/ Him

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s boyfriend has been arrested for DUI.

On Tuesday (Feb. 28), 21-year-old Dralin Carswell was arrested for DUI while his 17-year-old girlfriend was in the car.

According to reports, Carswell was pulled over when the tags on his Dodge Charger were run by the police, which showed he had outstanding warrants. Reportedly, an officer then attempted to do a traffic stop on Carswell, however, he fled the scene and led officers on a chase that went about three miles.

Officers say they found marijuana in Carswell’s vehicle. In addition to the DUI charge, Carswell was arrested for fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, following too closely, failure to maintain a lane, and speeding.

Luckily, Honey Boo Boo was not taken into custody and was simply a witness in the matter.

After his arrest, Dralin Carswell spent two days in jail and was eventually released on a $25,000 bond.

Honey Boo Boo and Carswell have been dating for over two years. During a previous interview, the reality TV star opened up about the public scrutiny she receives for her relationship with Carswell.

She said,

“In our relationship, the two most things that everybody is always talking about is our age gap and definitely because he’s Black and I’m white and we’re an interracial couple. I don’t care because, at the end of the day, my sister approves, his mom approves, and we’re happy, so what fans got to say or what haters got to say I don’t really care.”

For those that may not know, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was featured on the hit reality tv show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Thompson and her family originally rose to fame on TLC’s reality series Toddlers & Tiaras.
