Jake Paul Speaks Out After Getting Into Confrontation w/ Floyd Mayweather: ‘Come See Me In The Ring’
Jake Paul didn’t want any trouble with Floyd Mayweather last night!
On Wednesday (Mar. 8), outside the arena where the Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers game took place, Floyd Mayweather ran into Jake Paul and attempted to confront the YouTuber-turned-boxer for an incident that occurred between them almost two years ago.
In the now-viral video Floyd Mayweather, 46, is held back by someone who appeared to be from Jake Paul’s team. Following an awkward stand-off between the men and their crews, Mayweather was able to take a few steps closer to his target. However, Paul didn’t stick around to see what exactly Mayweather wanted and instead, ran away.

After the incident, Paul took to social media to recount the situation to his followers. In a video shared online, he said:
“Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere! Out of like some side alley waiting for me outside of the stadium. And their like ‘so what’s up? So what’s all that talk now?’”
The Ohio native continued:
“I’m like first of all, what did I say to you Floyd? I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it? C’mon bro.”
He explained:
“50 dudes literally start surrounding me to try and jump me. I’m out that b*tch. Floyd, if you want a one-on-one, no problem. But I’m not dumb, okay? I’m tough. I don’t need to prove my toughness.”
The 6-1 fighter, who lost his first match to Tommy Fury last month, added:
“I’m not f*ck*ng dumb. I’m not gonna sit there and try to fight 50 dudes. Dipped out of that b*tch. Floyd, you’re a h** bro. You’re mad ‘cause I took your f*ck*ng hat, are you serious, get over it bro. Move on. Move on.”

As you may have heard, the boxers haven’t been on good terms since Paul snatched Mayweather’s hat off his head at a media event set to promote his brother Logan’s match in May 2021.

A source close to the 50-0 boxer denied that he intentionally waited for Paul when leaving the basketball game. However, the source shared why Mayweather is still upset at the 26-year-old. They said:
“Jake crossed the line. This wasn’t about grabbing a hat. This was about Jake’s comments to Floyd about Floyd’s deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behavior.”
Paul also took to Twitter to call out Mayweather. He wrote:
“Floyd, if you want to fight 1 on 1 we can do that but don’t try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night.”
Paul added:
“Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight. That’s a fact. His team has hit my team numerous times to do one of his “exhibitions”. Now he ambushes me. Come see me in the ring, real fight, no exhibition robbing fans b*llsh*t.”
