‘Married To Medicine’ Star Dr. Heavenly Confirms Dr. Contessa’s Exit From Reality Series, Claims Rumors She Quit Aren’t True & She Was ‘Let Go’

Some of the “Married To Medicine” cast shake-up rumors have been confirmed!

According to one of the show’s stars, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, (former) cast member Dr. Contessa Metcalfe will, in fact, not be returning for the new season, and it allegedly wasn’t by choice.

Dr. Heavenly spoke about the Bravo series’ forthcoming ninth season during a recent YouTube live stream. The cosmetic dentist alleged that reports stating that Dr. Contessa Metcalfe was no longer part of the series are true, however, she didn’t leave but was actually let go. Apparently, the medical professional – who joined the cast during the fifth season – refused to accept a smaller casting role on the series and was terminated because of it. Speaking on Metcalfe’s departure, Dr. Heavenly stated:

“She did not leave. They let her go. And the reason being, I told you it was bout the money,”

She continued:

“She was mad about it I’m sure – I heard, I don’t talk to her. But I think they told her she could be a friend but then she ain’t hear nothing….They have so much going on with Bravo right now…how can I say this? She didn’t leave Imma just be truthful. She didn’t leave she got let go.”

The Bravo star went on to state that cast member Anila Sajja, who joined the show during its eighth season, was fired as well. Elsewhere in the live, Dr. Heavenly answered a viewer’s question of whether or not Dr. G. would be returning. In case you aren’t familiar with the series, Dr. Gregory Lunceford, aka Dr. G., initially joined the cast along with his then-wife Quad Webb for its premiere season in 2013.

However, the TV star left the series in 2020 after reportedly being demoted to a “friend” role, following the couple’s divorce in 2019. It’s unclear at this time whether or not Webb will return for the new season. Heavenly called on famed TV producer Carlos King to answer any Webb-related questions but confirmed Dr. G and his new fiancée will appear on season 9.

As a bonus, the charismatic Dr. also shared her opinion about former “RHOA” star Phaedra Parks joining the series. It seems the reality TV vet is currently dating a Dr. and is in talks to join the cast. Sharing her opinion on a Phaedra Parks cast shake-up, Heavenly stated:

“I like her! Imma say that over and over again…cause she’s a boss. But, she’s a word smith as well….I like her, but if she come at me sideways I may take a hit…but she gone know I was in the room,”

Adding:

“Right now we good and I think we gone stay good.”
