Update: Young M.A Gives More Insight Into Her Health After Fans Expressed Concern For the Rapper’s Well-Being: ‘I Recently Was Hospitalized & Was Successfully Treated For Several Conditions’

Update: (Mar. 15, 2023): Rapper Young M.A is ready to speak a little more about her health after fans expressed they’re concerned about her well-being.

The “NNAN” rapper still hasn’t revealed what exactly she’s dealing with, but she did share with a publication,

“As many of my supporters know I’ve been dealing with various personal health issues the last few years. I recently was hospitalized and was successfully treated for several conditions. I’m doing better now, will take some time but I’m on the road to recovery and look forward to the future!!!”

She added,

“Rest assured I’m in good spirits and everything will be explained in the MUSIC … plus a documentary. Love y’all MAB! Don’t worry I’m good!”

Her update comes after a video was shared online of the rapper appearing to have yellow eyes and be low on energy while getting a haircut. A TikToker also shared a video of what appears to be Young M.A using an electric wheelchair to get around a grocery store.

Fans shared their concern over Brooklyn rapper Young M.A’s health after a video of her surfaced on the internet on Tuesday (Mar. 14). Comedian/celebrity barber Aaron Turk, who goes by fatsdabarber online, shared a video of Young M.A on his Instagram story after he finished her haircut. Young M.A, real name Katorah Kasanova Marrero, seemed to be in good spirits after seeing her shape-up, but social media users were more concerned with the rapper’s health as her eyes appeared to be yellow in the footage. 

Reportedly, when the sclera – the whites of the eye – turns yellow, it can be a sign of jaundice, a symptom of an underlying condition often of the liver. However, it hasn’t been confirmed that Young M.A is dealing with any health issues at the moment. 

Twitter users reacted to the now-viral video of the 30-year-old, with many diagnosing the “BIG” rapper with liver failure. Most fans sent their prayers to the artist, while others alleged that substance abuse users should use the rapper as an example to take their health seriously.

After his Instagram story went viral, the celebrity barber addressed the fans who claim he posted the video of the rapper for clout. The Wild N’ Out cast member wrote:

“Y’all got so much to say as if I’m trying to embarrass you my dawg. She reposted my video if she didn’t want me to record she would have told me. Y’all don’t know our bond nor our friendship what y’all need to do is just send your prayers for her and that’s that. She didn’t have a haircut in a month and she wanted me to bring her haircut back to life which I did!!!!! Thank you sis for coming and rocking with me like always. Love ya.”

Young M.A responded:

“We blessed don’t let that get to you blooda.. And I told you it was like 4 months.”
