Jamie Foxx’s Body Double Takes His Place On Set While Actor Remains In Hospital
The show must go on!
With Jamie Foxx still in the hospital, producers of his latest film are continuing to shoot without him and are using a body double to complete the project in his absence.
As previously reported, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, recently revealed that her dad is recovering after he “experienced a medical complication.” In part, she let fans know:
“…he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. “

Now, “Back In Action” appears to be going strong with Jamie’s co-stars Cameron Diaz and McKenna Roberts filming scenes with his double – an actor named Chris. Reportedly, the stand-in was spotted without CGI dots on his face, indicating the remaining scenes are being filmed in a way that makes it look like Jamie is actually there.
It was reported that a stunt double by the name of Travis initially took Jamie’s place on set just days after the actor was rushed to the hospital. Reportedly, doctors are still running tests to determine what caused Jamie‘s medical complication.
However, over the weekend, insiders close to the entertainer gave an update on his health and shared that he’s “doing a lot better.” They also said that the “Baby Driver” actor is “communicating now, and that’s good news.”

According to reports, the “Collateral” actor had eight filming days left for the Netflix movie and was set to shoot a scene last week but couldn’t due to his medical emergency.
Despite Jamie Foxx being away, production is reportedly still aiming to wrap up filming by sometime this week. With the help of his body and stunt doubles, it looks like production may reach its goal.
We continue to send prayers to Jamie Foxx and his family during this time!
