Master P Shows Support Of Mystikal, Calls For Rapper To Be Released From Jail Following Rape Charge

Looks like Mystikal definitely has at least one person rooting for him amid his current legal troubles.

According to reports, Master P paid homage to his former artist by playing his hit 1997 song “The Man Right ‘Chea” during his recent performance at the Las Vegas “Lovers and Friends” music festival.

In addition to playing the throwback track, Master P – real name Percy Robert Miller Sr. – called for Mystikal’s release. He said into the mic:

“free Mystikal!”

The 53-year-old then encouraged concertgoers to also show support and said:

“Y’all, get y’alls hands up for my dawg.”

You may recall that Mystikal – born Michael Tyler – is currently behind bars (without bond) in Louisiana as he awaits trial for a rape and false imprisonment case.

As previously reported, Mystikal, 52, was arrested last July for first-degree rape, false imprisonment, domestic abuse battery (strangulation), simple robbery, and simple criminal damage to property. He’s being accused of physically attacking a woman, holding her against her will, and raping her in his residence near Baton Rouge.

The New Orleans native’s trial was originally set to start next month. However, his attorney has requested a delay in the proceedings in order to generate an efficient defense for her client.

As previously reported, this isn’t the first time Mystikal has been accused of sexual assault. In 2004, he was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman.

He found himself behind bars again in 2017. He spent two years in jail before posting a three-million-dollar bond. The charges were eventually dropped due to lack of evidence.
