Are you ready for the next installment of the “Love & Marriage” Franchise?
Reality TV fans will have another show to add to their watch list this summer! On Wednesday (May 17), during Warner Bros. Discovery’s 2023 Upfront presentation, it was announced that “Love & Marriage: Detroit” will be coming to your TV screens soon. The series is set to premiere on June 24 on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. As you may already know, the “Love & Marriage” franchise typically follows prominent Black couples and singles living within a thriving city as they share the ins and outs of their personal lives.
According to reports, “Love & Marriage: Detroit” will star Russell and Kolby Harris, Brandon and Kristina Bowman Smith, and Anthony and Dr. LaToya Thompson. The official logline for the series states,
“Detroit is on the rise and so are the people. It’s a city where Black culture is strong. This reemerging city is all about family, friendship, business, excellence and of course, love and marriage. ‘Love & Marriage: Detroit’ will center on a group of African American families with deep ties to Detroit who have decided to stay in the city and prove they can provide the best lives possible for their families in this community on a comeback.”

“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” initially premiered in 2019. The series is currently in its 6th season. Last May the first spinoff of the franchise, “Love & Marriage: DC,” aired. “Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Monique Samuels and her husband Chris were a part of the initial cast. However, they didn’t return for season two, which kicked off on January 21.
