Kevin Federline Blasts Reporter Who Claimed Britney Spears Loved Ones Believes She’s On Meth, Says: ‘Her Lies & Attempts To Exploit Minors Is Click Baity’

The ex husband of pop star Britney Spears is firing back at recent claims she’s using drugs.

Kevin Federline, who also shares two sons with the singer, is urging people not to believe false reports about his ex-wife that allege she’s dabbling with meth.

Reportedly, a writer named Daphne Barak recently published a story claiming that Britney Spears, 41, is causing her family concern due to her suspected drug use. In the report, Barak claims to have directly quoted Kevin Federline, reportedly stating:

“I fear she’s on meth – I’ve been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up … It’s terrifying. She is the mother of my boys.”

After Federline got wind of Barak’s report, he reportedly responded vehemently denying what was written about him and the “Toxic” singer. The former married couple share sons Sean Preston, 17 and Jayden, 16 together, wedding in 2004 before the union ended in divorce in 2007. He reportedly stated:

“It saddens our family that Daphne Barak and Erbil Gunasti have decided to fabricate lies and publish the heart ache our family has endured, along with the trauma of our minor children in the Daily Mail and The Sun. We did allow Daphne & Bill into our home because we trusted them, but that trust was lost and we severed ties back in March for many reasons we choose not to go into here.”

Adding:

“It is very distressing that she continues to harass our family when we have repeatedly asked her to leave us alone.  As was previously published, our family did speak with Ms. Barak and Mr. Gunasti a few times, and this was done in a respectful way with love & compassion for Britney and the Spears family. Her lies and attempts to exploit minors is click bait and another repulsive example of where, unfortunately, certain journalism has sunk today.”

The report notes that the father of 5 never specifies directly, however, which parts of the story are fabricated. It seems Barke is quite familiar with the Spears and Federline family. She reportedly published another interview previously with Jamie Spears – the father of Britney who controversially controlled her via conservatorship for many years.

In the report, Barke wrote that Jamie said he “feared his daughter would wind up dead like Amy Winehouse if she didn’t get proper care.” It does not seem he has spoken publicly amid reports of Britney’s alleged meth use.

As we reported last month, Kevin and Britney have been embroiled in a battle all their own. Federline is reportedly giving his ex notice that he’s taking their sons and moving to Hawaii soon with or without her participation. It does not seem Britney has responded to the situation publicly at this time.
