MLB Star Tim Anderson Finally Addresses Fathering A Child Outside Of His Marriage: ‘I Made A Couple Decisions That Probably Shouldn’t Have Been Made Along The Way’
We all make mistakes.
Baseball star Tim Anderson owned up to his marital transgressions during a recent podcast interview, briefly discussing his state of mind when he fathered a child apart from his wife.
As we reported back in June of last year, the White Sox player quickly made headlines after internet personality Dejah Lanee claimed he was the father of her then-unborn son. Lanee, who is reportedly close friends with fellow internet socialite Ari Fletcher, posted a series of images with Tim Anderson additionally stating the athlete didn’t make it clear he intended to stay married to his wife. The baseball player later confirmed he did indeed father Lanee’s child, reportedly by reposting an image of his firstborn son to his own social media pages.
The 29-year-old has been married to Bria Anderson since 2017 and the pair share two daughters together. After the two women exchanged a few back-and-forth shots online, with Bria emphasizing her support for her husband, Tim (temporarily) deactivated his social media accounts, sending the internet into an even bigger uproar.
It seems, however, that the professional athlete wanted to take that time to actually work on his marriage. Tim finally opened up about the situation while speaking on The Pivot Podcast. He stated:
“I never really wanted to play the internet game and I never did. You know, I always wanted to stay into the real life phase of what I created…and kind of more so keeping people out of the business “
“Nobody really never understood what I was going through when I was making those decisions, or where my heart was, or what was on my mind, or how hurt I was, or, you know, how lonely I felt,”
“But ultimately like, you know, the goal was never truly [to], you know, kind of play with anybody’s feelings it was more so…I was just trying to…find who I am. Continue to keep going and identify myself. I made a couple decisions that probably shouldn’t have been made along the way but I’m open to, you know, dealing with them and growing with them.”
