Jadakiss Seemingly Hints At Estranged Friendship w/ Kanye West, Says Being Around Him Isn’t As ‘Awesome’ As It Used To Be
Rapper Jadakiss wants the old Kanye West back!
In a new interview, New York rapper Jadakiss shared his thoughts on controversial artist Kanye West and seemingly touched on their encounters over the years. During the appearance, The LOX member was asked how Ye, real name Kanye West, has been doing.
From there, Jadakiss, born Jason Terrance Phillips, opened up and admitted that he’s run into different versions of the former billionaire since the pair have known each other. He also confessed that his latest encounters with Kanye West weren’t all that great.
The Yonkers native said,
“I’ve met like five or six different Kanye’s. The first four was awesome. The last two was a little bit…”
As you may recall, last year West was involved in a few headlining controversies after his interview on “Drink Champs.” The musician faced major backlash for his remarks about the death of George Floyd and the Jewish community. Many companies cut ties with the “Donda” rapper due to his comments, resulting in him losing his billionaire status.
As previously reported, during the now-removed 3-hour interview with fellow rapper N.O.R.E., West made anti-sentiment statements, claiming that “Jews who control the media” are working to silence him, and are pushing detrimental agendas on Black people.

In addition, the Grammy-winning artist stated his opinions about the tragic death of George Floyd, making comments many have labeled “dangerous misinformation.”
If you recall, in 2020 George Floyd was recorded on video dying under the knee of a police officer who is now serving jail time for the incident. West claimed a documentary made by known conservative Candace Owens proved that the late Minneapolis resident died by a Fentanyl overdose and not by strangulation.
