Doja Cat’s Top Fan Pages Deactivate Accounts Amid Rapper Lashing Out At Supporters & Saying She Doesn’t Love Them

Rapper/singer Doja Cat is once again at odds with her fans.

The “Attention” artist drew major backlash over the weekend for rather harshly admonishing supporters, criticizing them for calling themselves “kittenz” and denying them any love.

It seems the commotion began after Doja Cat, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, 27, randomly took issue with her fans naming themselves just as many fan basses do. In a series of since-deleted tweets, the Grammy Award winner blasted supporters, telling them they need to “get a job” and not to refer to themselves as “kittenz.” One of her initial tweets read:

“my fans don’t get to name themselves s**t. if you call yourself a ‘Kitten’ or f***ing ‘Kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”

Responding to the intense post, one fan questioned what should her supporters refer to themselves as, to which Doja said:

“Just delete the entire account and rethink everything it’s never too late,”

Despite her condemning supporters for using the fandom term, internet users pointed out that the entertainer previously referred to her fans as “kittenz.” An old tweet surfaced during Doja’s rant that showed her address supports as such while promoting her 2019 “Say So Remix” collaboration with fellow rapper Nicki Minaj.

However, according to Doja, she only decided that was ok when she was an “alcoholic teen,” and banned fans from using the reference any further. As if her rant wasn’t disappointing enough for those who have been riding for the musician since her satirical “Mooo!” song went mainstream, Doja then went on the argue with one fan who asked her to show them some love.

The singer said she wouldn’t tell fans she loves them because she “don’t even know yall.” When the user aggressively rebutted that fans don’t know her either but still chose to love and support her, Doja, seemingly annoyed, responded:

“nobody forced you idk why you’re talking to me like you’re my my mother b**ch you sound like a crazy person”

It seems fan pages devoted to Doja were not here for her public bashing. Several large accounts that would give updates about the music artist closed up shop, seemingly abandoning the fandom.

This says a lot because this isn’t the first, or second time Doja has sparked up beef with her fans. However, one supporter seems to believe that the meanness can be attributed to the Scarlet persona the musician is embodying as part of her upcoming “The Scarlet Tour,” which will feature breakout artists Ice Spice and Doechii and is set to kick off in October.

They explained:

“Doja does love us, but she is now playing the role of Scarlet, they are two different characters, in an interview she said that she apologized for what would happen later…she also said that she loved us before she got into the role of Scarlet, she doesn’t hate us, but Scarlet does since she’s evil, but Doja doesn’t despise us, Hate messages are from Scarlet”

Whether or not the whole situation is part of the entertainment for the coming tour is still up in the air. Most fans, however, are still fed up with Doja and Scarlet.
