Cam Newton Sues Ex Kia Proctor For Allegedly Refusing To Return 2017 Bentley
Former NFL star Cam Newton is suing his ex/mother of his children Shakia ‘Kia’ Proctor for allegedly not returning his vehicle at the end of their relationship.
According to RadarOnline, Cam Newton, 34, has filed a lawsuit against Kia Proctor, 35, over a 2017 Bentley Bentayga he claims he is the rightful owner of. In his lawsuit, the football quarterback says he allowed Kia Proctor to use the car while they were in a romantic relationship.
In addition, the suit alleges Cam Newton, real name Cameron Newton, purchased the vehicle on May 23, 2018, and the car was placed solely in his name. The suit states, “Although the relationship has ended, [Proctor] remains in possession of the Car and refuses to return the car” to Newton.
Reportedly, the former Patriots star says he allowed Proctor to use the car “with the understanding” that she would return the car if the relationship ended.
The suit reads,
“As part of the moveout process, [Newton] allowed [Proctor] to use the Car to move her things out of Plaintiff’s residence with the understanding that the Car would be promptly returned. [Proctor] never returned the vehicle to [Newton] after she moved out of [Newton’s] residence.”
Despite Newton having the title and registration for the automobile, he says Proctor “stubbornly” refuses to acknowledge his right to have the car in his possession.
After multiple requests for the car, Newton is demanding the court order Proctor to return his property immediately.
The former couple started dating in 2013 and split in 2019. Their breakup occurred around the time Newton had a secret baby with his rumored girlfriend, social media influencer La Reina Shaw.
Newton and Proctor share four kids together; sons Camidas, Chosen Sebastian and Cashmere Saint Newton, along with daughter Sovereign-Dior Cambella. Proctor also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
