Morgan Freeman — Friends of Actor Allegedly Concerned About His Health After Nearly 25 Pound Weight Loss

Friends of Morgan Freeman are concerned about his health.

According to RadarOnline, the Oscar-winning actor’s loved ones worry he is “wasting away” and at a “crisis point” in his health due to his roughly 25-pound weight drop. On July 22, when he went to Oceana’s SeaChange event to receive recognition for his dedication to conservation, he stood out in particular for his haggard appearance.

According to a friend,

“When you suffer the kind of pain he does, your appetite tends to go away. You have to worry for him.”

Prior to the Oceana event, the Bruce Almighty actor had to postpone his press tour to the UK for Special Ops: Lioness just last month because of a contagious infection, from which he has since recovered. An attorney for Morgan Freeman disputed the allegations and called them “bogus.”

The actor was involved in a car accident in 2008, which resulted in him experiencing excruciating shoulder pain and circulation problems that led to him losing almost all use of his left hand. He was later identified as having the chronic condition fibromyalgia.

According to another friend,

“Morgan is still one of the hardest-working men in Hollywood. But the poor guy is in incredible pain. It hurts him to walk, get out of a chair, and even just move his arms. He mostly suffers in silence, but he’s in agony much of the time.”
