‘Fresh & Fit’ Podcast Hosts Become Emotional After Being Demonetized & Banned From YouTube’s Partner Program

YouTube isn’t playing around with the hosts of the “Fresh & Fit Podcast.”

Infamous podcasters Fresh, real name Walter Weekes, and Fit, real name Myron Gaines, have been slammed by the public countless times for their controversial remarks and ideologies.

You may recall that last year, they were called out for speaking harshly to rapper Asian Doll when she appeared as a guest on their show. The “Pull Up” rapper ultimately walked off mid-recording after Fit was verbally aggressive towards her for claiming he was “mean as f*ck.”

The men have also faced criticism for their misogynistic commentary and reported hate speech. In addition, co-host Fresh, who is a Black man, was previously blasted by internet users for expressing his distaste for Black women. He said,

“I don’t really date Black girls…most Black girls are annoying, how do I put this, ratchet and they don’t know how to [be] reserved.”

Reportedly, during another crazy incident, one of the men allegedly appeared in what seemed to be KKK attire. According to reports, YouTube previously issued warnings to Fresh and Fit to clean up their content, however, it now seems like the video-sharing platform is done giving them slaps on the wrist. During their latest upload, the media personalities became emotional as they revealed YouTube has permanently kicked them off the YouTube Partner Program. This means their channel has been demonetized and they can no longer make money from their videos shared on the platform.

It’s also been reported that YouTube has taken things a step further and blocked them from earning any funds from super chats from their followers as well. While breaking the news to their listeners, Fit said,

“The channel [has] been kicked off the YouTube Partner Program.”

He continued,

“Even where we shoot the location [of our show] doesn’t want us to stay here.”

As he seemingly fought back tears, he added before walking out,

“Saving children, right, that was great, but saving you guys is better.”

Despite the multiple controversies that surround them, Fresh and Fit said they are unsure why YouTube has cut ties with them. It’s unclear what they plan to do next, however, it’s been alleged that the podcasters don’t make enough money from sponsorship deals alone to continue the show without ad revenue from YouTube.
