‘Bachelorette’ Star DeMario Jackson Allegedly In Hiding, Sexual Assault Accusers Propose News Ad To Inform Him Of Case
Two women who accused DeMario Jackson of sexual assault have not given up on their quest for justice — despite being unable to find him.
According to a report from RadarOnline, the women are pleading with the judge to grant them permission to proceed with their lawsuit against the Bachelorette contestant.
The accusers reportedly hired a process server to locate DeMario Jackson, who was found to be living in Los Angeles. However, after the server’s initial attempt at the house was unsuccessful, a “stake-out” was ordered.
The filing claimed the server made many attempts to serve DeMario Jackson between November and December 2022, but the reality personality never appeared at the home.
Following that, the women unsuccessfully attempted a “skip trace,” or “a professional process used to trace someone who may be difficult to find.”
Recently, a lawyer for the alleged victims requested permission from the court to run an advertisement in the Los Angeles Times to inform Jackson of the case. The judge has not yet made a decision.
As previously reported, Jane Doe #1 and Jane Doe #2 launched their sexual assault lawsuits against Jackson last year. They also accused him of false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The case comes five years after an on-set sexual misconduct investigation involving Jackson and Bachelor in Paradise co-star Corinne Olympios.
Jane Doe #1 said she met Jackson in 2019 through a dating app. At the conclusion of their first date, the reality star allegedly grabbed the 25-year-old and exposed himself. The lawsuit claimed that after an apology, she agreed to see him again.
Doe #1 said that on a different evening, Jackson met her at a bar and they went to his house after. While there she was allegedly “forcefully sexually assaulted.” She said she went to the hospital to get a rape kit the following morning.
Jane Doe #2 claimed to have met Jackson through social media. She said he invited her over for a date and that while there, he forced her to submit despite demands to stop.
Jackson has not yet provided a court with a response to the matter, although he has refuted the charges, saying,
“Four years ago, I, DeMario Jackson, walked directly into the Los Angeles police station after being falsely accused of raping two white women without a lawyer present and the police let me freely leave.”
He added,
“Here is why: My arriving and departing Uber receipts proved when, where and the time I was with these women and the truth is my receipts proved I was completely out of the vicinity. In addition to that, I provided screenshots of text message communication the day after they filed police reports. The authorities looked at all my evidence and let me, a six foot, four inches tall Black man leave that precinct without a doubt because I did no wrong. I am innocent, I did not hurt or harm those women.”
