Beyoncé Fans React To Songstress Confirming ‘Renaissance World Tour’ Documentary: ‘[She’s] Really About To Sell Out Stadiums & Movie Theaters In The Same Year’

Although Beyoncé’s ‘The Renaissance World Tour’ has concluded, the #BeyHive still has something else to look forward to!

On Sunday (Oct. 1), reports swirled that a film about the 56-city tour was in the works, and the internet went utterly bananas.

Not long after the news broke, Beyoncé took to her Instagram to confirm the rumor and released an official trailer for the anticipated project.

In the two-minute clip, glimpses of the historical trek show behind-the-scenes footage of the celebrated songstress’ creative preparation for the talked-about set.

She wrote in the caption under the video, which now holds over two million likes,

“Be careful what you ask for, ’cause I just might comply.”

Seemingly acting as a nod to Beyoncé’s beloved, late Uncle Jonny, the Parkwood Entertainment production is scheduled to premiere on World AIDS Day this year (Dec. 1).

If you didn’t know, Uncle Jonny, whom Beyoncé also refers to as her “Godmother,” passed away due to AIDS-related complications. The “Cuff It” artist’s ‘Renaissance’ album is in dedication to him.

Upon the unveiling of the iconic body of work, she remembered the LGBTQ+ pioneer for the impact that he had on her career in an open letter. Beyoncé wrote:

“A big thank you to my Uncle Jonny. He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album. Thank you to all of the pioneers who originate culture, to all of the fallen angels whose contributions have gone unrecognized for far too long. This is a celebration for you.”

‘The Renaissance World Tour’ kicked off on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden; its final stop was in Kansas City, Missouri this weekend. Following the announcement of the forthcoming flick that will chronicle the highest-grossing female lead tour, fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) in excitement.

Journalist Sylvia Obell said on the social platform,

“Beyoncé’s really about to sell out stadiums and movie theaters in the same year. A legend.”

Another individual added:

“[I] lowkey wanna buy tickets for everyone I know to see this film cause I feel like everyone needs to see what a tour SHOULD look like. Beyonce is by far the most professional performer we have . . to see her live is honestly a gift.”

‘The Renaissance World Tour’ film is in conjunction with movie giant AMC, who just recently unleashed their plans to debut a concert documentary for fellow singer Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour.’
