Kim Kardashian Speaks On Not Pressuring Her Kids To Follow In Her Career Footsteps: ‘I Just Want Them To Find Their Passion’
Like any other parent, Kim Kardashian wants the best for her kids — even if that doesn’t include becoming one of today’s top entrepreneurs in the world.
In a recent episode of ‘Mavericks with Mav Carter,‘ Kim Kardashian opened up about her little ones and her duty to teach them the importance of self-fulfillment.

As you may know, Kim Kardashian shares four children (North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm) with her ex-husband, rap mogul Kanye West.
When (seemingly) asked if she’d take on the momager role like her mother, Kris Jenner, for her own offspring, the 43-year-old replied,
“I want them to do whatever makes them happy. I already see what they’re into and like the creative energy from them. And I kind of can tell, maybe, where my two older ones are going to go.”
She added:
“North, for sure, feels like a creative. Saint feels like a creative. The little ones, Chicago and Psalm… if you ask Psalm what he wants to do, he wants to be like a truck driver or anything with a truck. [laughs] That’s like been his Halloween costume for like three years!”
Kardashian continued,
“Chi-Chi is just a princess, so I don’t know what she’ll end up being. But I definitely see it in North, and I think that I won’t ever push her to do anything. It’s whatever she finds her passion in.”

She then spoke about her need to shield 10-year-old North from the horrors of growing up in the limelight with two famous parents.
Kardashian expressed:
“How do you nurture your child that you see so much creative energy in? How do you just nurture it in a way but protect it also? I mean, I grew up so normal–not in the fame world–and I couldn’t even imagine [how that feels]. And I talk to Kendall and Kylie about this all the time because they grew up on [Keeping Up with the Kardashians] whether they wanted to or not. You know? They were born into it.”
She furthered,
“I want to make sure I can protect her as much as I can with her parents being who they are.”

Kardashian concluded the topic by detailing her desire for her children to do the things “they are about,” mentioning college as something she wasn’t interested in until later in life.
She revealed, recalling a moment at the age of 16:
“My sister, Kourtney, went to college, and it was like… I went to go visit her and I was like,’ Dad, I’m not going. Like, all they’re doing is partying!'”
The California native continued,
“As the mom that didn’t finish college–but I’m in school now–and their dad… who’s like ‘The College Dropout,’ how are we going to try to tell our kids to go to college? You know? I just want them to find their passion. Whatever it is that they want to do, I’ll be happy with that!”
Aside from her time in reality TV, Kardashian has founded numerous businesses, with premier shapewear brand SKIMS and her skincare line, SKKN BY KIM, being at the forefront these days.
A couple of years ago, she also became an advocate for prison reform, aiding the wrongfully convicted as she explored her interest in Criminal Justice.
