Jamie Foxx appears to be filled with joy after his daughter revealed she’s engaged!

In a post uploaded to Instagram, famed actor/comedian Jamie Foxx shared a heartfelt message towards his daughter Corinne Foxx in honor of her engagement to writer/director Joe Hooten. The couple recently announced the exciting news with a series of black-and-white photos letting the world know they’re ready to take the next step in their relationship.

Following the engagement reveal, Jamie Foxx, 56, shared his thoughts on his 29-year-old daughter’s forthcoming union and even gave his blessing to his soon-to-be son-in-law. The TV and film star wrote,

“@corinnefoxx @joe.hooten you are a perfect example of what being in love is…. You care about each others life mental and physical… and you have each other’s back… congratulations on your engagement…”

Foxx went on and spoke on the moment Joe Hooten told him he was preparing to pop the question to Corinne.

“@joe.hooten when you whispered to me a while back that you were gonna ask my baby girl to marry you I had tears of joy in my soul…”

He added,

“and @corinnefoxx you have… and have always had a special place in my heart… you deserve love abundantly… so again congratulations you too… can’t wait to walk you down that isle [SIC].. @corinnefoxx you have a great soul in @joe.hooten I LOVE YOU BOTH DEARLY… I have my tissues ready #tearsofjoy”

The former “Beat Shazam” host took to the comment section of her dad’s post and responded,

“We love you Dad!!!!”

Although it’s unclear when the pair began dating, reports state Corinne and Joe Hooten met in 2018 and both attended the University of Southern California.
