Saweetie Grilled About Repossessed Bentley From Ex Quavo: ‘I Didn’t Want To Get Rid Of The Gift’ + Explains Why She’d Never ‘Spin The Block’ With An Ex

Saweetie is setting the record straight on that infamous Bentley from her ex, Quavo. 

During a Live Broadcast interview on Shannon Sharpe & Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson’s “Nightcap” last night (Feb. 8),  Saweetie cozied up with the Club Shay Shay host, but not before he described the Icy Girl as,

“the one that used to date Quavo”.

Saweetie wasn’t too thrilled with the opener, spitting out her résumé from McDonald’s and MAC Cosmetics campaigns or her trendy rap records. This led to a full-on discussion about her dating habits, namely, whether or not she’d be open to “spinning the block” with The Migos member, and her former beau Quavo.

Shannon Sharpe boldly asked,

“I guess there’s no chance of you spinning a block with an ex?”

Saweetie replied,

“I don’t really spin the block. What about you?”

Shannon then asked if Saweetie would consider it, to which the “My Type” raptress replied, 

“I don’t have [..] a record of doing that, so no.”

Furthermore, Saweetie confirmed that “up until now”, her record of repeats with exes has been null and void.

Uncle Shannon then asked about the Bentley she received as a gift from her ex Quavo. and why she’d ever return it, but Saweetie quickly fired back,

“I didn’t want to get rid of the gift.”

When pressed about what actually happened to the expensive gift Saweetie coyly answered,

“Now you know what happened..Needless to say I bought myself the big Cullinan Rolls Royce, so it don’t even matter.”

Quavo and Saweetie had been romantically linked in 2018 but Saweetie confirmed their official breakup on Twitter in 2021. The reason for the breakup is not publicly known, but it was speculated that Saweetie may have slept with Offset, causing a rift between the group and cementing her breakup with Quavo.  Things got messier when it was rumored that Quavo sent the repo man to get his Bentley back after the breakup.

Although there has been no official proof, in The Migos record, “Havin Our Way,” Quavo seemed to confirm the repossession and rapped,

“Havin’ my way, now this sh*t like a business/Load up the bases, now I feel like Cal Ripken/She had it her way, now she out of a Bentley.”

Since then, Saweetie has been linked to rapper Lil Baby after an obvious Instagram story showed her sitting comfortably in his lap. Reportedly the two were enjoying a Chanel shopping spree where Lil Baby spent $100k on the “Tap In” rapper. Lil Baby seemed to confirm it later in a diss record.

Following her fling with Lil Baby, Saweetie was spotted on what appeared to be several dates with West Coast rapper YG. The two’s relationship seemed to be one to watch on social media, especially after they were seen at Coachella and a spicy baecation in Cabo.

Unfortunately, just earlier this year YG and Saweetie reportedly called it quits. While Saweetie seems firm on her spinning the block stance, YG on the other hand reportedly is willing to tap back in with Saweetie. As previously reported, YG posted an Instastory that appears to show him with his arms around his rap queen with the caption “the only block I’m tryna spin” over it.

Perhaps with time and a carefully planned Valentine’s Day surprise gift or trip, Saweetie could be convinced to spin the block with YG once more.  Check out the full interview with Saweetie below.
