Kanye West On Teaming Up With Ty Dolla $ign: ‘Being The Single Richest Black Man In The World Cannot Secure Your Position … A King Needs An Army’
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, might say he’s the king, but if you ask him, he “needs an army.”
In the first look at Kanye West’s interview with Justin Laboy, he discusses life, allegedly being the wealthiest Black man in the world, and appreciation for R&B vocalist Ty Dolla $ign, whose real name is Tyrone Griffin Jr.

On Ye’s Instagram page Monday (Feb. 12), the rapper, record producer, singer, songwriter, and fashion designer posted a video clip from the interview where he said,
“You know life is not a solo project, and I believe that being the single richest Black man in the world cannot secure your position in order to move people. A king needs an army, and it became an army. It was like, ‘Yo, Ty is with me.’ He came to my party, and I looked, and I was like, ‘Yo, this dude is like the head of the spaceship. Like Han Solo.'”
At the end of the clip was a black screen with Ye’s website, which sells clothes, shoes, and other merchandise.
The snippet on the rapper’s page received mixed reactions in the comments from followers:

At this time, there’s no word on when the interview will be released.
His latest interview follows a controversial conversation with conservative political commentator and podcaster Tim Pool in 2022, when he stormed out of the interview set after the host pushed back against the rapper’s anti-Semitic statements.

During the chat, Pool told Ye,
“I think they’ve been extremely unfair to you.”
To which Ye replied,
“Who is they? We can’t say they.”
Tim Pool said he was referring to “corporate press” when Ye got up and walked out.
Ye had previously made the remarks on his Twitter, which is now known as “X,”
“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funnything is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also. You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Following the claims, Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap terminated their deals with the superstar rapper.
