Ja Rule Claims He ‘Absolutely’ Got Into A Fight With 50 Cent And Won
The rift between hip-hop icons Ja Rule and 50 Cent continues.
On Piers Morgan Uncensored, the TV personality grilled the “Put It On Me” rapper about his two-decade feud with fellow musician 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson. At some point during the interview, Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, was asked who would win if he and 50 Cent got into a physical fight.
Ja Rule laughed and said,
“That’s already happened too, Piers. You gotta do your research, man.”
Seemingly shocked by the answer, Piers Morgan asked if he had gotten into a physical altercation, and Ja replied, “Absolutely.”
When asked who won, the former Murder Inc. artist answered,
“I did, Piers. Come on, man.”
Ja then shut down the questions regarding the fight so they could move on to a different topic.
This interview wasn’t the musical artist’s first mention of the altercation between him and 50.
In his 2014 book “Unruly: The Highs and Lows of Being a Man,” Ja claimed,
“50 tried to swing on me, but I dipped, and then I hit him with the baby Louisville Slugger. Bam! I dropped the bat. I pulled the shirt over his head. I started catching him left, right, uppercut.”
He also claimed he beat up the Queens-based rapper with a crutch he got from someone in his camp with a broken foot at the time.
“I hit him with the crutch. We proceeded to whip his ass. I was putting in my work. 50 was crunched in the corner. I slammed the big Tannoy speaker down on him.”
Fast forward to the recent 37-minute interview with Piers Morgan, Ja told the talk show host that he and the rap superstar’s beef is one-sided.
“You never see me say anything about him. I just mind my business, do my business. I don’t do the back and forth.”
The British media figure also asked Ja if he had a message to send to 50, and the 48-year-old rapper responded that he had “no message” but wished him well.
50 has yet to respond to the claims that Ja beat him up or his rival’s interview with Piers Morgan.
In 2003, Ja told MTV that his beef with the “Get Rich Or Die Tryin'” actor stemmed from him unknowingly snubbing 50 during a music video shoot in New York.
In his 2005 biography, “From Pieces to Weight,” 50 said it was because a friend robbed Ja for his necklace in 1999. Regardless of how it started, the two New York natives have clashed for over 20 years.
