Peter Gunz Receives Support From Amina Buddafly, Tara Wallace & More After Announcing That His Mother &a Cousin Recently Died On The Same Day
Rapper Peter Gunz isn’t alone during one of the toughest times in his life.
On Wednesday (March 7) former Love & Hip Hop: New York star Peter Gunz took to his Instagram to share that his mother had passed away.

Sharing a vintage photo of his mother, Peter Gunz wrote in the caption,
“She gave me life and all the love a son could ever ask for. Rest well Mommy no more pain…”
He then thanked his loved ones for offering their shoulders to lean on through the grief. The 55-year-old furthered:
“Truly appreciate all the love support and positive energy, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. To my family my nieces and nephews in particular keep that bond going. I love how you stepped up pulled together laughed cried and held each other down at this dark time. Words can’t describe how much I love you.”

Not too long after the announcement, Peter posted on his Instagram Story that his cousin, Chuck, had also died on the same day.
“Rest well Cousin Chuck you and mom leave on the same day.. sad.”

Following the heartbreaking news, fans and friends filled the “Deja Vu” rhymer’s comments with condolences and words of encouragement.
Legendary lyricist Fat Joe expressed:
“God bless mama.”

Dipset icon Cam’ron–who lost his mother, Fredericka Giles, last February–dropped a sad-face emoji along with some praying hands, empathizing with Peter amid the crisis.
Additionally, Peter’s ex-wife and ‘Love & Hip Hop’ co-star, Amina Buddafly, cited,
“Thankful for her legacy and the way she impacted all of our lives with all the amazing humans that exist because of her.”

Together, the ex-couple has two baby girls. Peter’s former partner, Tara Wallace, whom he shares three sons with, also joined in the comments and said with praying hands, a heart, and a dove emoji:
“Grandma.”

Actress/singer Cheryl Pepsii Riley, Shar Jackson, Lord Jamar, Melba Moore, and Memphis Bleek were among the others to provide Peter with comforting messages.
