Jermaine Dupri Says He Can’t Date A Woman Who Doesn’t Want To Go To The Strip Club Because She’ll Be Suspicious While He’s Gone: ‘You Broke Our Synergy’

Music producer Jermaine Dupri is clarifying why his relationship deal breaker is tied to the strip club.

During a recent interview, the 51-year-old shared why he believes a woman not interested in joining him at adult entertainment establishments can’t be the woman for him, explaining that her absence from the outing will ultimately cause problems.

Jermaine Dupri spoke about the topic during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club. After host Charlamagne Tha God questioned him about his previous statement that “if going to a strip club is too much” for a woman he’s dating, then he’s “too much” for her, the music exec explained:

“If [a woman I’m dating] came to Atlanta, and I said ‘We going to Magic City tonight’ and she was like ‘Well, you know I don’t really f*ck with no strip clubs.’…At that point you, you have broke our synergy. …You flew to Atlanta to stay at my house? While I go party with my homeboys?”

The rapper/songwriter clarified it’s not necessarily the act of going to the club he requires from his partner, but rather he understands that if a woman chooses to stay home while he’s out, her mind will inevitably become suspicious. He continued:
“As a woman, her mind’s going to start doing this [rotating motion]…I asked you to come with me so that your mind wouldn’t do that, but you want to stay at home and wait till I get back… and then come back possibly smelling like the strip club, all these questions…then we going to have a beef.”
Dupri went on to state that at the end of the day, going to the strip club is one part of his life he’s not willing to compromise on. The music professional recalled how he handled the matter while dating superstar songstress Janet Jackson. If you recall the musicians were in a long-term relationship from 2002 – 2009. In previous interviews, Dupri has stated that his unfaithfulness played a big role in the couple’s demise.

According to Dupri, Jackson was actually curious about his affinity for strip clubs, asking what drew him there every week. Judging by their 7-year romance, it would appear that for a while at least, the Nutty Professor actress did discover and accept whatever Dupri feels is so great about the adult entertainment environment.
