LSU Star Angel Reese Confirms She’s ‘Single’ Amid Rumors That She & College Basketball Player Cam’ron Fletcher Broke Up: ‘I’m The Catch’

Angel Reese is back on the market.

The “Bayou Barbie” confirmed she’s “single” but “not ready to mingle” on Instagram Live. Instead, she said, 

“I’m just focusing on my college career. I’m focusing on school, that’s all I’m focusing on right now, and I’m focused on me.”

She explained,

“I’m not focused on nobody else. I put my energy into too many people that don’t deserve my energy. I do what’s best for me, and that’s it. I’m the catch. Let’s not get it twisted.”

Angel Reese’s confirmation of her relationship status means that she and college basketball player Cam’ron Fletcher are no longer together.

The Louisana State University women’s basketball star and the Florida State University basketball guard went on several trips as a couple. Recently, the pair went to Jamaica in August 2023, where they got matching tattoos. 

Cam’ron Fletcher got the name “Angel” tattooed on his Angel Reese got a “Cam’ron” red ink tattoo.

And Jamaica wasn’t the only trip they took as a couple. Last year, they also spent Christmas Day together in New York City.

In June 2023, the All-American basketball player first confirmed she and Cam’ron Fletcher’s relationship during an interview on the “1 Star Recruits” podcast. She admitted they had known each other for a while before they got into a romantic relationship. 

At the time, she said, 

“Me and Cam’Ron have known each other for six years.”

It’s not clear exactly when Reese and Fletcher broke up, but they have removed all pictures of one another from their Instagram.

The news came as Reese was named to the USBWA All-American team. She had a record-setting campaign last season, becoming the first player since Vanderbilt’s Wendy Scholtens in 1989-90 to lead the SEC in scoring and rebounding in back-to-back seasons.
