Megan Thee Stallion Breaks Down During Tampa Concert Amid Explicit AI Video Circulation

You can’t keep Megan Thee Stallion down for long. Despite the circulation of an AI-generated explicit video on social media, her spirits were lifted at her recent concert in Tampa, Florida on Saturday (June 8).

The 29-year-old rapper held back tears during a difficult performance at Amalie Arena on her Hot Girl Summer tour, appearing visibly emotional throughout.

A fan-captured video shows Megan Thee Stallion pausing mid-set, taking a deep breath, and bowing her head before launching into her hit song Cobra. During the performance, she struggled with the lyrics, using her hand to fan her face and cover her eyes in an effort to hold back tears.

In another part of the show, Megan Thee Stallion took time to interact with fans and received a few gifts. During the heartfelt exchange, she admitted she had been feeling down but quickly cheered up.

She stated,

“Ya’ll making me feel too mother f****** good. Y’all got to stop! I was having a little f***** up day, but f*** that!”

The emotional moment occurred amid controversy surrounding an alleged AI-generated video circulating online, supposedly depicting Megan in explicit content.

Earlier that day, Megan appeared to address the issue on social media, condemning the fake video:

“It’s really sick how y’all go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning. Y’all going too far, fake ass s***. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”

The AI video scandal marks the most recent in a series of dramatic incidents for Megan over the past few months.

Not long ago, Megan faced legal action from her former videographer, Emilio Garcia, who filed a lawsuit alleging she fostered a toxic work environment and engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior in his presence. Megan’s legal team swiftly dismissed these claims as unfounded and an attempt at extortion.

Additionally, Megan’s tour has faced heavy criticism on social media following singer Tory Lanez being sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023 for his conviction in the shooting incident involving her. The backlash intensified after Megan released her diss track Hiss, partly aimed at Nicki Minaj, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Nicki Minaj responded with her own track titled Big Foot, sparking intense debate online and fueling the feud between their respective fan bases.
