Drake Trends As Social Media Users Debate Authenticity Of Viral Video, Appearing To Show Him Rapping Kendrick Lamar ‘Not Like Us’ Diss
Rap super star Drake has the internet buzzing.
An increasingly viral video of the Canada native, seemingly performing Kendrick Lamar’s diss record aimed at him is circulating online, leaving many to debate whether or not the clip is real.

Social media users began sharing the footage to X (formerly Twitter) earlier today (Sunday, June 23rd). In the 22 second clip, Drake, 37, appears to be performing at a concert when he seemingly begins playing and rapping along to the diss track titled “Not Like Us”, which Kendrick Lamar, 37, made about him during their beef from earlier this year.

While majority of the clip seemingly shows the audience singing to the #1 single, one part of the video does appear to show Drake singing the lyric “certified pedophile.” However, many social media users are not convinced that the video is real. Some argued that the audio clip was simply inserted over a video of Drake performing another song. One user wrote:
“This is the audio from the dj at the bar. Petty putting it on this video”

While another added:
“Lol who put this Audio on the video [It’s] gon be tough summer for the boy”
Others agreed that the video could potentially be falsely edited, while some, however, seem to believe Drake is simply attempting to change/end the ongoing chatter regarding his feud with Kendrick Lamar.

As we’ve been covering, Drake and Lamar have both been under a microscope since exchanging heated diss records throughout April and May. The hype around one of hip-hop’s most iconic beefs was re-sparked last week, following Lamar’s Ken & Friends Pop Out Concert, where he performed “Not Like Us” to a roaring crowd 5 times in one night. The impressive show led his fellow California native and West Coast hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg to dub him as the “King of the West Coast.”

Lamar also trended earlier today, as many shared their excitement over him filming a video for the hit record. It is unclear at this time, however, when fans will get to see the completed product. Drake does not appear to have commented on the viral video at the time of this writing.
