Swizz Beatz Responds To Several Fans Calling Him Out For Verzuz Distribution Deal w/ Elon Musk: ‘We’re 100% Black-Owned’
Famed producer Swizz Beatz took time to address concerns over his controversial deal with Elon Musk.
The musician responded to questions from disappointed fans recently after they criticized him and Timbaland’s decision to move their Verzuz content to X (formerly Twitter).

Sharing several images of himself and his Verzuz co-founder, Swizz Beatz wrote:
“We will show you better than tell you”

The post came just a few days after Swizz Beatz and Timbaland drew widespread backlash for inking a deal with the Tesla CEO, which will see them produce Verzuz content exclusively for X at no cost to internet users. As we previously reported, many criticized the partnership immediately after its unveiling, arguing that Elon Musk has a history of racial discrimination allegations and therefore shouldn’t be embraced by Black-owned businesses.

Despite Swizz’s attempts to ensure followers that the deal would be good, many continued to express their discontent in his comments section. The beatmaker took time to respond to several remarks, however, confirming that he and Timbaland will continue to own “100%” of their platform and insisted that they didn’t “sell out,” among other things.
