While discussing Megan Thee Stallion during the November 2023 episode, Shannon Sharpe expressed his admiration for the Hot Girl and jokingly said,

“I’d have her stretched out like a quarter to three.”

Although Sharpe was met with tons of backlash for his controversial reference towards Megan, the media personality made sure to make peace with her when given the chance. During the new interview, which aired today (July 1), the 56-year-old began with,

“Before we go any further I want to apologize to you personally. I always wanted to sit down and have a conversation with you and I didn’t know if that was going to be posible but I was always hoping that I got an opportunity to bump into you.”

Sharing concern for how his words might’ve impacted her life, Sharpe added,

“I believe the joke would’ve been just as funny had I had left you out of it. So, for any unwanted attention, harm, shame, embarrassment that I caused you or your family, I wanna say as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize.”

In response to Sharpe’s apology, Megan smiled and said,

“I appreciate that. Thank you.”

The apology then led to the two taking shots of Sharpe’s Le Portier Shay cognac and toasting to the Houston rapper’s “amazing career going forward.”
