Nick Cannon On Why He Insured His Reproductive Organs For $10M After Fathering 12 Kids: ‘My Most Valuable Assets’
Nick Cannon has insured his reproductive organs for $10 million following his successes in fathering 12 children with six different women.
The 43-year-old entertainer explained the reason behind this decision as part of a promotional campaign with Dr. Squatch, an organic soap and men’s grooming company.
During his son Legendary’s 2nd birthday celebration, Nick Cannon addressed media outlets about the unconventional insurance policy, remarking,
“I had to insure my most valuable assets, because you hear about all these different celebrities insuring their legs… so I was like, ‘Hey, well, I got to insure my most valuable body part.'”
However, Nick Cannon emphasized that the insurance policy doesn’t suggest he’s planning to expand his family any time soon:
“[I’m] just making sure nothing goes wrong.”
Nick wouldn’t be the first celebrity in his family to insure a body part for millions. Mariah Carey famously insured her voice and legs for $35 million each during her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour in 2016, ensuring coverage against any mishaps that could affect her performances.
Also, during Legendary’s birthday bash, Nick Cannon’s enthusiasm for his son’s growth and development was evident.
He mentioned,
“I mean it, I’m super impressed, just based off of his social skills … He’s one of these kids that has so much personality and is super talkative — even at like 2!”
Nick continued,
“Obviously, I got a lot of kids to be able to see [how] he’s definitely, like, more outgoing and it almost feels like he’s built for this world.”
