Marlon Wayans Calls Out Thieves Who Broke Into His Home: ‘I Don’t Own Sh*t’

Update (July 5, 2024): Marlon Wayans
is unbothered after being the latest celebrity to have his home burglarized.

The actor and comedian took to an Instagram video to react to the news, and first thanked those who checked on him. He then said the thieves,

Didn’t really get much. ‘Cause I don’t own sh*t. The most valuable thing in my house, is my house. So unless you’re gonna put that sh*t on a truck and drag it away, then yeah man, you did well.”

He reiterated he doesn’t “own sh*t,” pointing out he doesn’t wear jewelry and even the gold ring on his finger is “fake.” Marlon Wayans added,

“I don’t use cash, I have credit cards. I’m the wrong n*gg* to rob. Go down the block, there’s a lot of flashy n*gg*s out there.”

He added the caption,

“God is so Good. Everyone is fine. I’m grateful.

Dear ROBBERS and OTHERS,
I am the WRONG N***** to ROB. Save your energy. I don’t have anything valuable in my house except MY HOUSE. Sorry, i live a simple life with 2 cats and one of them is a 1994 Range Rover, you will need a jumpstart if you steal it cuz the battery is dead. Robbers don’t waste your energy or your life doing home invasions, sh*t is too heavy!!! You want to carry all that bullsh*t? Throw your back out, and for what?! I repeat I don’t own sh*t valuable. I don’t have a bunch of cash or jewelry. Please pick a better ? thank you and love you… still”

Original Story (July 4, 2024):
Comedian Marlon Wayans faced a serious situation when his Los Angeles home was burglarized while his brother Keenen Ivory Wayans was present.

According to law enforcement sources, the break-in occurred around 2:30 a.m. last Saturday at Marlon Wayans’ Encino property.

Although Marlon Wayans was away at the time, two intruders entered the house after sneaking into the backyard and breaking a rear window. Keenen Wayans, asleep during the incident, initially dismissed the noise as inconsequential and returned to bed.

The burglary was discovered later that morning when one of Marlon’s staff members returned to find the home ransacked.

According to close sources, Keenen Wayans was surprised to learn that the thieves had stolen a safe containing several thousand dollars in cash. He reportedly woke up during the break-in after hearing sounds but went back to bed after thinking they were nothing.

Despite efforts to obtain video footage from the area, authorities have not yet made any arrests.

The unfortunate event is part of a string of notable burglary cases in the Encino area, including an incident involving NBA player Patrick Patterson, where two men were reportedly caught on Patterson’s security system stealing two large bags of his belongings before police arrived.
