Update: Azealia Banks Accuses Landlord Of ‘Physical Intimidation’ In Eviction Countersuit
Update: (July 8, 2024): Azealia Banks is fighting back against her landlord’s attempt to evict her from her Miami home. Over the weekend news broke that the “212” artist is being evicted after she allegedly failed to pay a significant amount of “past due” rent.
However, in a countersuit obtained by In Touch, Banks claimed she “complied with all controlling terms of the Parties’ Lease Agreement, including the timely payment of rent.” She also accused the landlord of not performing maintenance tasks on time, threatening her, and intentionally interfering with her privacy. One example mentioned claimed the landlord subjected her to unnecessary inspections at inconvenient times, sometimes contacting her before 7:30 in the morning.

They also allegedly allowed a third party to “enter the property without just cause of proper notice.”
The individual reportedly went through Banks’s belongings “under the guise of an inspection and to enter an area of the property entirely unrelated to the inspection in order to videotape [her] undergarments, including her lingerie.”
In addition, the countersuit accused the landlord of “physical intimidation and abusive, profane, or threatening language.”

Original Story: (July 5, 2024): Rapper Azealia Banks just might be searching for new housing soon.
According to some reports, the musician is allegedly being evicted from her home in Miami after failing to pay a significant amount of “past due” rent.

It appears YouTuber Tasha K was one of the first to break the story. Court documents shared by the content creator seemingly show a plaintiff named Isis Claro taking legal action against Azealia Banks, 33, seeking to:
“evict AZEALIA BANKS and all others in possession (“Tenants”) from the real property,”

The document notes that the motion was filed because:
“Tenant owes Plaintiff past due rent”

At this time it does not appear that any more details have bee shared about the situation. Azealia Banks has also opted not to comment on the matter at this time. While the validity of the document has not been confirmed, this isn’t the first time the New York native has faced eviction allegations. Back in 2022, court documents also surfaced that showed Banks was being removed from another property in Miami. The address on the latest document is located in a different county.
