ScHoolboy Q Blames Toronto Concert Cancellation On Kendrick Lamar Association Amid Feud w/ Drake
ScHoolboy Q appears to be blaming the cancellation of his Toronto concert on his association with Kendrick Lamar.
The 37-year-old rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that his Blue Lips Weekends show in Toronto, Canada, scheduled for Thursday, July 18, was canceled. He stated that the Canadian police did not want anyone from TDE performing in the city, alluding to his association with Kendrick Lamar, who is currently feuding with Drake, a Toronto native.

He stated,
“They just cancelled my show in Toronto … CANADIAN POLICE DON’T
WANT NOBODY FROM TDE PERFORMING.”

He continued,
“Top was just with Wayne and Baby … PARTYNEXTDOOR just had a show @ The Palladium too. If we wanted to get y’all, we would’ve just did it. Now when somebody get hurt, don’t cry.”

ScHoolboy Q also jokingly questioned why Kendrick Lamar included him in the Not Like Us music video, a diss track aimed at Drake that is currently No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Actually, I get it. Nvm, this s*** low-key hilarious (l don’t know why Dot put me in that f****** video).”

When an X user mentioned a physical altercation Rick Ross recently had with Drake fans in Vancouver, Canada, ScHoolboy Q responded,
“I don’t think you know who I am. In fact, I don’t think a lot of you know who I am.”

It didn’t stop there. Shortly after his series of tweets, he clarified his original statements, emphasizing that he never said he was going to “kill” anyone and described himself as a soccer dad:
“I never said ‘I’m going to kill somebody.’ I’m saying if we wanted to crack it off we could’ve, smh. Rap and move on. Playing tough is going to get somebody hurt. It’s all good, I’m a soccer dad.”

Of course, he also reposted a clip of himself at a soccer game and clarified that he didn’t mean his previous tweet as a threat.

It’s unclear whether Toronto’s loyalty to Drake was the cause of ScHoolboy Q’s canceled show. However, the city recently experienced dangerous floods that affected Drake’s residence.

While resale tickets still seem available for ScHoolboy Q’s Toronto show on July 18th, his next tour stop will be in Chicago on July 20th.
