Wendy Williams’ Family Reportedly ‘Rooting & Praying For’ Her Despite Being ‘Denied Contact’
Wendy Williams’ family is still not able to get in touch with her months after her concerning documentary aired on Lifetime.
A source told People Magazine on Thursday, July 18, Wendy Williams’ 60th birthday, that the media mogul’s relatives are still “rooting” for her.

The insider said,
“Wendy Williams’s family is unable to speak on her current condition and location due to ongoing litigation and the fact that they have largely been denied contact. But they are all rooting and praying for Wendy and want to express their well wishes as she celebrates her 60th birthday.”
Wendy Williams, who announced her dementia diagnosis earlier this year, has reportedly been estranged from her family since April 2022. At that time, she was placed under a court-ordered guardianship overseen by a woman named Sabrina Morrissey. In recent months, Williams’ family, including her sister Wanda Finnie, has questioned Sabrina Morrissey and her intentions, accusing her of keeping them from Williams.
She previously said,
“How did she go from this aunt or sister that we love and is healthy one minute to this person who’s in and out of the hospital? How is that system better than the system the family could put in place? I don’t know. I do know that this system is broken. I hope that at some point, Wendy becomes strong enough where she can speak on her own behalf.”
Meanwhile, Williams was the subject of a Lifetime docuseries Where Is Wendy Williams? released in February.

Just days ahead of its debut, Sabrina Morrissey sued the networks’ parent company A+E Networks for allegedly exploiting Williams and her mental and medical setbacks. Executive producer Mark Ford later said Williams’ team, from her guardian to her lawyers, were not only aware of the scope of the project but approved it.
Continued prayers for Wendy Williams!
