Funny Marco Says He ‘Just Wanted More Out Of’ Bobbi Althoff As He Explains Why He Canceled Their Joint Comedy Tour
Sometimes friends just don’t need to work together.
Media personalities Funny Marco, real name Marco Summers, 31, and Bobbi Althoff, 26, will apparently not be continuing with the rest of their Open Thoughts vs Really Good Podcast Tour. In a video shared today (July 24), Funny Marco explained why he decided to pull the plug on the event and explained where he currently stands with Bobbi Althoff. He said,
“I love Bobbi to death, Bobbi is a good person…I don’t have sh*t bad to say about nobody. But when people pay they hard working money I really care about that. When I’m on a stand-up tour, and I’m selling out these tours, and then me and Bobbi being able to come together and people are paying they money to come see us, I really want that to get better.”
Funny Marco decided to cancel his tour alongside Bobbi Althoff due to the belief that their comedic approaches did not align and lacked any onstage chemistry.

Funny Marco continued, claiming he and Bobbi Althoff simply had different work styles.
“I did stand-up before and I’m still doing it so I understand I’m learning how to entertain a crowd and it’s not the same thing that you get on Instagram. … And I feel like Bobbi was stiff a little bit.”

According to Marco, he paid for script writers to improve the show but Bobbi pushed back on the idea, saying “That’s not me, my comedy is me not talking a lot.” He noted that her comedy was “different” from what he envisioned them bringing to their live shows.
Marco also expressed,
“It was hurting me because I know people are paying they hard[-earned money]. …and I wanted it to get better but Bobbi was just in her way of doing it how she wanted to do it, and I was in my way of doing it how I wanted to do it. So, nobody was in the wrong when it came to that.”
He added,
“I just wanted more out of Bobbi. I wanted her to dance more, I wanted her to talk.”
Per the flyer, Marco and Bobbi’s tour kicked off in Dallas on May 10 and was scheduled to end on August 17 in Kansas City.

According to Ticket Master, all the remaining dates except one have been canceled. However, fans of Marco can see him on November 16 in Atlanta if interested.
