Brandy Had No Clue ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Reboot Was In The Works, But Says She’s Ready To Reprise Her Role: ‘Hit Me Up’

Would you like to see Brandy portray Karla Wilson in the I Know What You Did Last Summer film series once again?

For our readers who aren’t tapped into the horror film scene, the Grammy Award winner played the iconic character in the 1998 sequel film I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Brandy’s character Karla is one of the few people by the end of the movie who lives to see another day.

In 2006, the third installment, I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, was released but the slasher went straight to DVD. It didn’t feature any returning cast members and had no plot connection to the first two films.

However, last February, news broke that a new legacy sequel was in the works! During a recent interview, Brandy was asked about the reboot and revealed she had no clue it was on the way. She said,

“I didn’t know Sony was putting that together. That’s interesting!”

Continuing, Brandy made it clear that she’s open to joining her former co-stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., who are reportedly already in talks to make an appearance, for the forthcoming installment.

“I need them to give me a call because I survived in that movie! I came out in the end, bloodied up, ready to go. I did not die in that film.”

She added,

“Jennifer, Freddie, hit me up.”

Brandy might just get her wish to be a part of the project as fans have already taken to the director’s Instagram, demanding she returns as Karla. One person wrote,

“WHERE IS BRANDY AT HER CHARACTER DIDNT DIE WE WANT HER BACK”

And another added,

“If you’re gonna bring back Sarah Michelle Gellar (who’s character died) you better bring back Brandy who survived the last movie”
