Megan Thee Stallion Responds To Backlash Following Kamala Harris Campaign Rally Performance: ‘Fake Mad’
Rap star Megan Thee Stallion is seemingly unbothered by her recent critics.
The Houston native doubled down on her support for presidential candidate Kamala Harris at a recent show, despite facing backlash for performing at her campaign rally.
Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, 29, addressed the polarizing discord during her Lallapalooza appearance in Chicago yesterday (Thursday, August 1st). The hip-hop star stated:
“They was fake mad that I was popping it for Kamala and I don’t think they heard what she said.”

She continued:
“Kamala said she wants a ceasefire [in Gaza]. Kamala said she supports woman’s rights. Kamala said she’s tired of these high a** gas prices […] Hotties For Harris!”

As we reported, Megan The Stallion’s July 30th performance at Kamala Harris‘ campaign rally in Atlanta was received with mixed feelings. While some commended the collaboration, others argued that the “Mamushi” artist “twerking” and being “vulgar” on stage was out of place.

It doesn’t appear that Harris has addressed the backlash at this time.
