Drake Trolls Chingy Over ‘Goated’ Lyrics In Chingy’s Song ‘One Call Away’: ‘You Really Struck A Chord’
Drake is trolling Chingy over one of his most famous songs.
Early this morning (Monday, Aug. 19), Drake took to his Instagram story to seemingly mock Chingy about his single “One Call Away,” which was released in 2003 and featured Jason Weaver.
On social media, Drake first posted the lyrics to the second verse where Chingy raps,
“The next day, I’m with the fellas at the cage playin’ ball. Here she come with her friends, they posted up on the wall. Now I’m showin’ out, tryna dunk, tryna dribble. Break fast through the middle just to her smile and giggle.”
Sharing his thoughts, the “One Dance” singer-rapper wrote,
“Nah chingy I felt this like why do I play ball better when the tings aren’t watching you really struck a chord with this one goated lyric”

But Drake wasn’t done. He later said of the same lyrics,
“Also the fact you said tryna dribble like off that bar we know you were a** at ball but your ting showed up and you started doing to much like this real af. you are a guy for that bar”

It’s not clear why Drake is calling out Chingy. It looks like Chingy hasn’t gotten word of Drake’s criticism. Or if he has, he’s decided not to address it publicly… for now.
Meanwhile, “One Call Away” spent 20 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and peaked at No. 2, making it one of his most successful singles.
