Yung Miami & DJ Akademiks Agree To Sit Down In Hopes Of Finding Common Ground Amid Years-Long Feud

2024 continues to be the year of the unexpected.

In a shocking turn of events, rapper Yung Miami, 30, has extended an olive branch to one of her biggest critics, media personality DJ Akademiks, 33. It’s no secret that the two have been like oil and water over the years, feuding over several things, including Yung Miami’s dating life and music career. However, the “CFWM” artist appears ready to put their differences aside. Mentioning DJ Akademiks, real name Livingston Allen, directly on X today (Aug. 26), Yung Miami asked him to join her for an episode of her talk series, Caresha Please, so they can hear each other’s point of view.

“Let’s do Caresha please season 2 @Akademiks I would love a sit down from my POV. Everyone POV is very important!!

Confirming he’s cool with the sit-down, DJ Akademiks replied,

“I’m down.”

As mentioned above, Miami, real name Caresha Brownlee, and DJ Akademiks have been at odds for some time now. In December 2022, she slammed him for labeling her as Diddy’s side chick. At the time, Miami was dating the record executive. In a series of X posts aimed at Akademiks, she fired back,

“I’M NOBODY SIDE B*TCH LETS JUST MAKE THIS CLEAR ON THIS GOOD MONDAY! I don’t come 2nd to no b*tch!”

And continued,

“Akademiks my name ain’t d*ck so keep it out your mouth!!! You the type of Ni**a my uncle doing life sentences for BI*CH A*S NI**A!!!!!”

Miami’s good friend and fellow rapper Saucy Santana has even stepped in a few times to defend her against Akademiks. In November 2023, Akademiks became emotional during a live stream while discussing threats from Saucy Santana.

When the public can expect to see Akademiks chat with Miami is unclear at the moment, however, given their history, it’s bound to be an interesting Caresha Please episode.
