Desiigner Takes Shots At 50 Cent In New Freestyle Over Record Deal Snub
Desiigner is the latest to go up against known petty king 50 Cent
As recently covered, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson candidly shared why he passed up signing Desiigner, real name Sidney Selby, 27, amid the success of his breakout 2015 record “Panda.” According to 50 Cent, when he met with Desiigner to discuss a possible deal, the Brooklyn native couldn’t play any more of his records because “Panda” was his only recorded track at the time. Sharing the story with the men of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, 50 Cent claimed,
“I had him at the office. I was like, ‘Yo, let me hear the other records you got.’ And he’s like… ‘That’s it.’ … And the s*** was so hot that he had, I was struggling. But I was like, ‘Nah, I can’t give that n**** that money. Let them give him whatever the f*** they gonna give him.’”
Desiigner must have felt some way about what 50 Cent, 49, shared because he dropped a new freestyle taking shots at the media mogul. In a video of himself showcasing his bars in a parked vehicle, he raps
“N***as talkin’ that 50 Cent, I be talking fifty mill’ / N***as talkin’ that Timmy Turner, glad the n***a got killed / I got signed to Kanye, lil n***a, you was never worth a deal.”

As noted in his rap, Desiigner did go on to ink a deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, however, he parted ways with the label in 2019. The reactions to his freestyle are not the best. While some urged Desiigner to take care of his mental space before dropping new music, many others left remarks expressing their anticipation for 50 Cent’s response.
