Blac Youngsta – Man Accused of Murdering Rapper’s Brother Was Killed Months Ago While Out On Bail
The case against the man accused of killing Blac Youngsta’s brother has been closed, months after the suspect died, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
SCSO told FOX13 that the charges against Randy Ewing were abated by death. According to the sheriff’s office, Ewing died on May 23.
Court records show that the case against him was officially disposed of on September 16. Details on how Ewing died were not immediately available.
At the time of his death, he was out of jail after posting a total of $36,000 bond on March 29.
Ewing was initially charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, evading arrest, and theft of a firearm worth less than $2,500.
After his arrest in February 2024, the United States Marshals Service charged him with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder of Youngsta’s brother, Tomanuel Benson.
Ewing’s charges stem from the August 2023 shooting that left Benson dead. He suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
The motive remains unclear.
