Barack Obama Shares His Thoughts On Whether Or Not Kendrick Lamar Has Taken The No. 1 Spot In Hip-Hop
We all know Barack Obama stays up to date with the latest in music and hip-hop.
So it was no surprise he was asked to give his thoughts on whether or not Kendrick Lamar can rightfully claim the crown among rappers today following his viral beef with Drake earlier this year.
During a recent episode of the DeepCut with VicBlends podcast, the former president reflected on Lamar’s position in the game presently, noting that his “friend”:
“Has a unique status right now.”
Adding:
“He’s not just gifted, he’s serious about the message he brings to. He digs into himself, he digs deep.”
Obama also acknowledged that rap star J. Cole is “pretty high” on the list, comparing ranking the two rap stars to ranking NBA legends Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
