Dr. Dre — Judge Dismisses Marriage Counselor’s Request For A Restraining Order

Dr. Dre — Judge Dismisses Marriage Counselor’s Request For A Restraining Order
A judge ruled that Dr. Dre’s text messages to his former marriage counselor were not threatening enough for a restraining order. Although Dr. Charles Sophy was previously granted a temporary restraining order against Dr. Dre, a judge decided on Tuesday (November 5) that there was not enough evidence that Dr. Dre was actually threatening him, so Sophy’s request for a permanent restraining order was denied.
Dr. Charles Sophy submitted the text messages from Dr. Dre as evidence. One of them reads, according to TMZ,
“You f****** with the wrong one.”
Dr. Dre added in another message,
“What happened Doc? I thought you wanted to talk. Cat got your tongue? You’re going to have to give me a written apology. If not, I’m moving forward. I’m not playing, trust me.”
Dr. Dre, who was previously ordered to stay 100 yards away from him, also texted Dr. Charles Sophy,
“Hey doc, [or] whatever the f*** you’re pretending to be. Just know this. I’m not going anywhere until you explain to me why you tried to talk [redacted name] into saying negative things about me to the media. You’re a piece of s***!!”
Dr. Dre previously called him out for malpractice, alleging the counselor turned his children against him in his divorce from his wife Nicole.
