Judge Greg Mathis Sued For Allegedly Threatening City Employee Who Was Blocking His Driveway
Judge Mathis is being sued after allegedly threatening to shoot a city worker over a dump truck blocking his driveway, TMZ reports.
Ricardo Acosta, an L.A. Dept. of Water and Power employee, claims Mathis confronted him in July 2023, swearing and demanding he move the truck. Acosta says he warned Mathis about the truck’s potential to roll back due to its incline, but Mathis responded aggressively, telling him to
“run him over.”
The judge allegedly returned with a gun, threatening,
“I will bust a cap.”
Acosta is suing for assault and emotional distress. This follows a police report from July 2023 about the same incident.
